iv`e got cold air blowing from the a/c but when the temps turned up the air is only luke warm.
i`ve done a search or 2 and been told there could be air in the system or the thermostat could be faulty can anyone give me some detailed tips on how to flush the system out and start afresh and where the thermostat is again some details on removing this cheers |

there's a few threads on how to flush your radiator...
it's pretty simple. basically when you do it, be sure to have your hvac control dial set to hot and (if you can) jack up the rear of the car so it's inclined forward.. the drain plug is on the lower passenger side behind the radiator (a white plug) that comes off with a simple twist. the thermostat is inside the metal neck part of the passenger-side radiator hose coming into the block. there's two bolts holding it down.. but to gain access to it, you'll need to remove the alternator and loosen/remove the AC compressor in order to reach the bottom of the two bolts (if you have AC). ![]() after putting everything back together, make sure you bleed the system. i use a funnel (below) to bleed the system: ![]() it basically ensures that coolant is always topped off.. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
