So yea, I was coming home from work and stopped at at red light, and realized I was pressing my brake pedal to the ground..mmhh.. so I stopped and took a look at the fluid was alright...take a look under the car...one of the line going to the back was leaking...great mad.gif

Anyway, I get off slowly knowing I got enough juice to get home, and at the next stop I realise something's seriously wrong, at this point I have to use the handbrake and engine brake to bring the car to a complete stop.

So I took the way home, i know the route and I've never had to stop before my exit, but ****, is that ever ****ing nervous, I was doing about 80 kmh..The 1st and 2nd gear do make great brakes but not having real brakes suck ass... moral??? Have good working emergency brakes! I sure did use them today!

rust ? on a toyota ? that sounds odd...

a new rear line from the dealer is about $30 (goes the length of the car from front to back). Or you could just repair the line were the hole is. They tend to rust out where the lines are clipped onto the chassis (the clips rust and eat the lines).

If it's the driver's side line it's not too hard to replace, if it's the pass side, it's more difficult, you need to lower the gas tank.
