Maybe toyota should think of a way where this would actually come in handy? Ok, from the videos and the reviews, it looks great. But actually using this system is really....flawed. Here's why. I played around with this system a few months ago when I got bored and wanted to play with the LS460 in the middle of the night. Well the self parking takes a few seconds to even set up. You first have to stop the car and put it in reverse. But it has to be in the right spot, or the system will refuse to confirm the parking spot. You have to click the screen a few times to get the parking spot locked on correctly. Probably a good 20-30 seconds to set it all up. Then make sure the wheel is pointing straight forward! It will yell at you if it's not haha. You have to keep your foot lightly on the brake at all times. If not, the car will go "too fast" and guess what? The car doesn't slow down, it just says "parking assist aborted" Which means the car will still continue to move, but your on you own now buddy. And now you get to go through the entire set up process again. I would say it would take a total of 1 minute for the car to actually "park itself". But probably a total of 10 seconds or less for YOU to park it yourself. 1 minute is a long time in the "real world" People will be honking at you and will probably steal your parking spot by that time your lexus shows you how to drive.
