my car was making such a huge clunking noise that i thought i broke the cv joint agian.if u applied any throtle it just was bad it satrted off only when i turned then it started to do it all the time. i took it in and they told that i broke an axle ring and if fell out or i didnt have one to begin with they said they could see no damage but i want to know exactly what i broke thanks guys

Well Ive broke left and and right axle shafts, well I should say wore out, because the boots got torn and water got in and wore out the joints. And it was axactly how you describe it, at first it was some clicking noises when turning and sometimes braking, then it was pretty much all the time. Anyways not very expensive, probably $200 altogether and labour. |
