Something I think might be a nice addition to 6gc is a section dedicated to different projects people on the site are working on, or have just finished. I know we have the Multimedia section and private profiles, but with the multimedia section it seems like whenever someone creates a thread to show off thier new mod or project it just seems to get stuck in the middle of several other threads that show a photoshoot or meet or whatever. Also, with profiles, It just doesn't seem like anyone really ever looks at other people's (I'll admit I hardly do either) and your limited to the number of pictures you can put up, so it's not too ideal for putting pics from projects into. So my suggestion (and this is just a suggestion, rather it will/would happen might not be too likely, but hey just putting the idea out there) is that we could have a section dedicated to car projects, where everyone who wanted to would create thier own thread and show off pictures of how thier projects comming, get feedback, and so on.. It would be one thread per person/car (some people have multiple 6th gens). and everytime someone did something new, no matter how small or large, that thread could be updated as needed. It would be very ideal for people, like myself, who arn't doing any major projects (like an engine swap, ext..) for a while, but of course are doing small things over time.

anyway, I'm just curious what other people think of this idea or mabey have a better one that's similar. I'm not trying to preassure Coomer into creating something that's not nessesary for the site, but just something to mabey think about.

thnks for reading, I know it's a lot..lol

I think this is a great Idea, because I also do many small projects over a long period of time.

I agree, great idea.

I dunno what Coomer is up to at the moment (there were rumors that he might be planning on a new round of features coding but I think he is quite busy with his new job) - but some kind of integration between the forum post and the members section would be nice, so one could click on 'project diary' or similar from the members rides page to go straight to the thread.

Question is - how does one deal with comments? It would be nice if the reader could select to show/hide comments and if all the posts by the thread starter appeared before the first comment (posts by the thread starter are chronological, followed by a chronological list of comments).

Well I was just thinking more along the lines of how a regular thread is put together anyway, with replies one after another type deal, nothing fancy you know. But shoot, that would be pretty awesome too and probably be more organized. Although, it would also be more effort and time on Coomer's part.
