so its cold up here and i want to warm the car but not stay inside it as its cold.

Got 94 auto with viper alarm but no remote start.

Is there a way to just take out the key while car is running (i tried this in Park and Neutral positions and key wouldn't come out)
I also tried locking the doors but that doesn't work either when car is running.

So whats easier, a way to take out the key if there is a way or to just get remote start installed?

get an extra key made. leave the key in the ignition, and manually lock your door with your other key from the outside.

i know, but it's the only possibility i can think of w/o modifying your ignition cylinder or getting a remote starter (as mentioned in the first post)..
it also depends where you park your car too, my driveway goes all the way into the yard so it's more safe, so i'm not concerned about breakins.
