Anyone in the AirForce? Options

Just wondering if anyone in here is in the Air Force? Ive been reading about them and I have a few family members that have been serving in the Air Force for many years, Im looking for other peoples opinion about it..

Hope this doesn't end up as a debate about which service is the best and such...

Well, I'm Actually between ROTC atm. I had to take a break, because of family, and money reasons. plus I really needed time to think over my life and figure out if its what I really wanted. anyway, My opinion? go for it, or at least visit an ROTC at a near by college. meet the people, but try and stay away from the leadership. they are like car sales men. anyway, why go for it? because 1. what do you have to lose? a few years? eh, it isn't a lot in the long run. 2. even so it worth it. you gain a lot from the experience, get to travel (better to have a language), and meet great people. 3. least to worry about combat related death. yeah sad why to put this, but depending of the Job description, the air force is one to stay a good distance away from the front lines so to speak. 4. and if you don't like it? well. you can leave when your time is up. take the experience, the money, and the Job related skills with you. the Air Force is a great experience imho.
