I am new here. I have a 1994 Celica ST with the 7AFE motor in it and automatic tranny. I am pretty sure that mine threw a rod, so I am wanting to do something to it to make it a little quicker. If anyone knows where some performance parts are for these, please lemme know. This thread, tho, is about a question. I had a guy on another thread tell me that you can put the 3SGTE head on a 5SFE block. I was wondering how expensive and how much pain is this to do? Also, what all would I need for this swap, as in timing belt, head gaskets, head studs, tranny, ECU, etc.etc...? I have been searching for performance parts for this motor since I got the car and have never ran across anything that can help it much. Please help!! Thanks

what all would i be needing to do the swap? anyone have like a complete list of things that i'd need? i'd like to know what timing belt, head studs, spark plugs/wires, gaskets, ecu, wiring harness, etc... if i get the sam year head/block, does everything line up perfectly? if not, which years are compatible with each other so i don't have to drill into the motor? if i could find some performance parts for the 7AFE motor, the id just build the bottom end and be done with it. anyone know where some performance rods/pistons and things like that are at?
