QUOTE(cyb593 @ Dec 21, 2007 - 11:00 PM) does the japanese vehicles have VIN numbers. or are they different from ours. and where on the tranny and block can i find these numbers? No they dont. JDM cars have Chasis numbers, witch are ussualy shorter by 5-7 digits in camparison to VIN's Ussualy on a JDM cars chasis numbers start with well known chasis names (like for subaru its starts by GC8 or GDB, and then goes all the other digits, on celicas it starts with ST205 or ST202 and all the other digits) As far as i know JDM chasis number isnt decodible (all you can say from it is only chasis name) These chasis numbers are located on Aluminium plate on the chasis, or on the chasis its self (pressed in), they are not on engine or block. -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...
