First off I want to say I am really glad I found this site. I own a 94 GTS and I'm still learning A LOT about cars. I love this site so far, I learned lots just from the front page. Anyways, on to the questions...
1. I noticed that my car has two mufflers, one in the middle of the tailpipe and one on the end. I want to make my car have a nice deep sound to it. I've been thinking about upgrading to a 2.5" or 3" exhaust system but I don't have the money for that yet. Can I take out the middle muffler and put a different muffler on the end to make it sound better? Or do I have to replace the whole thing to be able to do that?? 2. I was reading about the short ram intake (http://www.6gc.net/parts/13) and it sounds like something I want to buy(yes I know it doesn't add much HP, but it's supposed to sound and look good, and that's what I'm looking for). Would this be a good or a bad choice? Should I go with a different kind of intake, cold air maybe? And does anyone know where I can get it for fairly cheap? Most of the links to stores from the above link don't work ![]() Any help is greatly appreciated!! Edit: Also, my car has 196k km on it. It runs really really good, but I'm afraid it's starting to get too old.. Would it be a good idea to sell this car and get a 7th gen? Or do you find that with a bit of work 6th gen is better overall?? I really like the 6th gen and would rather keep it, but I need to know if it would be a good or bad idea haha.
