Looked around a little bit, couldn't find anything. Just a simple question, is it alright if I use 4 gauge terminals with 4 gauge wiring? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but just to be safe should I buy higher gauge terminals to make sure I'm getting full power to my subs?
Thanks in advance! |

QUOTE(soven @ Dec 25, 2007 - 11:56 PM) it refers to size 1ga is bigger than 4ga in size Ahh ok, I didn't know that haha. Learn something new everytime I look at something on this site lol. Thanks ![]() QUOTE(itssteve @ Dec 26, 2007 - 1:55 AM) it all comes down to how much power you are running and what brand of wire you are buying(because of strand count) so tells us how much power how long of a run of wire, and someone can better tell you what ga wire to use for anything over 1200 watts or 130 amps i would suggest 1/0ga wire andthing less and i would be fine with 4ga I'm pretty sure it's less than 1200 watts. Thing is, I already had everything in before. I had to take everything out because I went on vacation and needed trunk space, but when I was pulling the wire through one of the holes it got stuck because of the terminal on the end so I had to cut it off. I need to replace that terminal with a new one but I don't know if the other one that I cut off was 4ga ![]() |
