yea. i want a 360, but i heard that the 3 year thing will cover any problems that you may have after purchasing it. is that true? i'm jus speculating at lookin at stuffs.

Absolutely not true. The extended three year warranty only covers the RROD.

its a 3yr warranty on any hardware failures, not just rrod.
