I wanna take my stock pint stripe off but the only thing holding me back is fear of there being a bright white spot where the stripe used to be (my cars white)

how did others go about in doing this?

it kinda depends on how old and weathered the pinstriping is. 1bwilson is right about using a hairdryer, it will make it come off easier. If the stripping is in decent shape it should all pull off in one or two strips and not leave much residue. If it's old it will most likely come off in a bunch of peices and leave some glue behind.
