I've decided to go with type r component speakers. I know to get 6.5's in the back but should I get 6.5's or 5.25's in the front? Also, I noticed the 6.5's have slightly better ratings than the 5.25's, would I notice the difference? Thanks

QUOTE(goferris @ Jan 6, 2008 - 1:00 PM) i have 6.5" type R's all around. that is what our car is designed for and came with unless you have the premium 8 speaker system then it's 4" up top and 8" below. i'm guessing you have the 6 speaker system like mine. 8"s will fit in the stock location with little to no modification and 6.5"s will need a mounting adapter. if you install it yourself you will need to get these. (i think they sell them on ebay for like $10) or if you have a shop install them they should have some available. the rears will be a perfect fit with the 6.5" i think that you will really like those speakers. do you already have a sub? if not i highly recommend getting one. that will complete your system. GL ![]() is there really a big difference with an amp powering the speakers? i have heard that it is not really needed,,, that is almost the same just having the built-in that most of the receivers have..... can someone please tell me the difference -------------------- ![]() |
