hey guys,
I put this insulation blanket on temporarily on my intake as seen in the picture to keep it cooler since i felt the pipe get pretty hot. the pipe did feel much cooler when i had it on so i'm thinking about having the guys at my work custom make one for my intake that would cover it end to end, stopping at the filter. ofcourse, there would not be a need for duct tape anymore

well the cooler the air the better your chances for a complete burn in the combustion chamber. so it would be helpful. personally i would just go to like advance auto or autozone and buy the stuff that is used to wrap the exhaust manifold and use that around the intake. it still works off from the same concept for the manifold just in a reverse process for the intake keeps the cool air in and the hot air out.
