I was just wondering if anyone here has experience with rolled or shaved fenders. I've heard different things from different people, and I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the matter and which choice is better/safer/easier/cheaper.
Also if you are in SoCal, do you have any recommendations to any shops who could do this? -------------------- |

Yes, I have heard of the baseball bat method, but my concern is how much it would actually roll the fender. Dont you use your wheel as a lever and basically use the bat to roll your fenders? I remember reading it in a magazine a long long time ago. It seems like that would work, but i would have more peace of mind using the proper fender rolling tool.
If i shaved my fenders and then tack welded around that area again, then it should be fine then right? My passenger qtr panel will need to be replaced anyways, so I'm going to have to wait until i weld a new one in anyways before i can do any fender rolling. Right now my wheel set up is as follows, 17"x7.5" +42 offset. with 215/45/17 tires all the way around. My rear wheels are definatly in need of spacers more than the front as my rears are very close to hitting my coilovers. If I were to roll the fenders in the rear, then would a 15mm spacer still be too much to add? Would 10mm be too much to add in the front? -------------------- |
