guys i'm rebuilding my 1996 GT. I want a stock rebuild but i want to port/polish the head and get a header with matching flow characteristics...what else can I do to see any improvements without serious big money parts? forged or stock replacement pistons?? i don't really plan on any big gains so should I just go stock piston replacement? What about cams? Chip? Tuner? Is it worth it to balance and micropolish the crank?
What is the average stock rebuild cost? Guys...thanks! |

I was also considering this exact topic the other day, and i can't believe i stumbled across a thread with a couple others already talkin about it. So yes, as lipweb was asking, how much money would it approximately cost if we were to bring our motor to a shop and get it rebuilt? And I was also considering boring my cylinders, but as I just read the last post..guess i shouldn't
