guys i'm rebuilding my 1996 GT. I want a stock rebuild but i want to port/polish the head and get a header with matching flow characteristics...what else can I do to see any improvements without serious big money parts? forged or stock replacement pistons?? i don't really plan on any big gains so should I just go stock piston replacement? What about cams? Chip? Tuner? Is it worth it to balance and micropolish the crank?
What is the average stock rebuild cost? Guys...thanks! |

Unless you want to stay 5s and stay NA do the rebuild. But if you have the money for a rebuild and want some power, why not consider doing a v6 swap? Better yet a 3s swap if you like boost.
