 94 geo prizm engine help!!! |

I have a friend who has a 94 geo prizm the 1.6l. well last week he blew his engine and now he wants to buy my 7afe 1.8l. well I am wondering what is needed to fit the engine in his 5sp tranny? will he need a diffirent harnnes and ecu? what about motor mounts?

other than that its pretty much just taking one out and putting the other in. the corolla/prizm also came with the 7afe so the mounts will lineup, trans should works since both are A engines, etc.
are they both the same year or atleast the same emissions spec? also there is once sensor difference between the 7afe and 4afe, the knock sensor. the 7afe has one and the 4afe doesnt. i'd suggest swapping the 7afe pcm with the 7afe engine to retain the knock contronl of spark timing, theres a reason why the 7afe has that!
