Hello everybody... I started changing the color of my CC. I didn't change the bulbs and they are not busted. I just removed the green condom on the bulb and placed red plastics on the buttons so it would turn out red. At first the bulbs were working but now it doesn't. Even the light for the defroster won't work and they are in separate boards. The small green and orange LEDS do light up but not the 3 big LEDS and the Defroster LED. Could it be something to do with the main wiring harness? I assumed that it is because even my cig lighter light don't lit up and I just did something to the guage cluster lights and added a VOLTMETER where the Voltmeter light is connected to the dimmer switch. ANY IDEAS ON HOW I COULD FIX THESE? When I get the chance later tonight I will test the continuity between the main wire harness of the CC and the Dimmer Switch, see if it has something to do with it. But if you have any ideas and encountered this problem before, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
Thanks in advance ya'll and may the force be with ya'll wink.gif

sometimes what happens is that when you are playing with the cc unit, if you are like me, you might have plugged the bare naked controls to the car, to test it before you close it, what happend to me is that i created a short circuit that melted a couple of lines in the board that took me 2 hours to repair.

a second option is you are handling used light bulbs, and sometimes we may have grease in our hands, some people have recommended that after touching thse kind of bulbs to make sure you wipe them off since it can make the thermodynamics (increase heat) and cause the bulb to fail. ( I never had this happpn)

a third option, is you did not handle them carfully and just the mere fact of being old, the bulbs can easily break off the filament...

or the last option could be just pure bad luck ....

did you fix this...
