I'm going to be working on my engine performance now, and just want your opinion on the BALANCE of this set up. Simple, but still appreciate opinions from the pros.
Intake: SRI or CAI Web Cams (possibly get them done to same specs by local machine shop) (Then probably get Air/Fuel ratio tuned) Exhaust: 2.25 Catback done at shop (want to keep it legal) 2.25 Street Series Magnaflow 5X8 Oval Ignition: Anything need to be enhanced here? I'm thinking no. Thanks. And do you think a local machine shop would do custom cams to the Web Cam specs or quality? |

QUOTE(Celicav @ Jan 20, 2008 - 5:50 PM) I'm going to be working on my engine performance now, and just want your opinion on the BALANCE of this set up. And do you think a local machine shop would do custom cams to the Web Cam specs or quality? Camshafts are very specialized parts and most local shops do NOT do regrinds because it requires specialized tools/machines. That said, an engine is an engine... tuning is done almost the same way for every internal combustion 4 stroke motor. As for your list, I personally would also add basic weight reduction mods, which IMO, bring out more life in a motor than anything an intake or exhaust could do. Light flywheel (see dr. tweak)! -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
1995 AT200 Celica ST: stocked out daily driver... 1984 AE86 Corolla GT-SR5: silvertop 20V 4AGE project car jacked up with goodies... 1991 SW2x MR2 n/a: bare bones hardtop model soon to be... |
