i was wondering if anybody has been successful in converting a 6 speaker setup with tweeters and speakers in the door panels and speakers in the rear panels into a 8 speaker set up with tweeters in the mirror covers and 2 pairs of speakers in the doors and a pair in the rear panels. what i am trying to do it put the tweeters in the mirror covers and open up the tweeter hole to a 3.5 or 4 inch hole and put some speakers in that spot like on the 6 speaker setup. i want to know waht size and how to mount the tweeters in the mirror covers and the best way to mount the new speakers in the tweeter hole. if anybody has any tips please let me know

Get the 8 speaker door panels from a vert and then work off those sizes. That would be the easiest/best way to do it and have it look correct.
I see vert door panels at the junkyards from time to time. Not overly rare around here anyway. BTW - where are your factory tweets located if not in the mirror triangle? From your description it sounds like you are saying they are elsewhere but I've worked on every year/trim level of 6gc and I've seen them without tweeters but never with stock tweeters located anywhere else but the mirror triangles.
