Hey, ive never done a sound system before, but i have two 12" JL Audio 12W0 8ohm subs. What need know is what kind of amp i would need to run these. Would a JL Audio 250/1 work? Im just a little thrown off by the 8ohm aspect of the subs. And how many channels i would need on the amp if i just wanted to run the subs. If anyone could give me a little info, and help clarify some things for me thatd be great.

use 4 gauge wire and go with the JL amp... the 250.1 is perfect at 4 ohms for those subs... wire them in parallel like said above... this is a pretty simple setup and should sound good... do not wire them in series... you do not want a 16 ohm load
