hello guys,
i'm seriously thinking about buying the webcam 294 grind or the colt cam equal. Would it effect emissions at all. will I pass smog? thanks -------------------- ![]() |

They are illegal because they will affect emissions. Even though the specs on the webcams and colt cams aren't bad enough to drastically worsen emissions, camshaft modifications in general are illegal.
That said, as far as actually having the cams, it's something of a "don't ask don't tell" policy because it's not a modification you can easily check for. I think, based on the cam profiles, they won't affect emissions enough to make you fail. I've run 272 degree cams with 8.1mm lift and was able to pass the sniffer in a 4AG, so I think emissions-wise, assuming your cats and EGR stuff are in good shape, you'll pass. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl...
