Is there anything like a Oil level gauge? my 7a is burning oil, and I'd like to know what level the oil is at at all times...

Dipstick.
(No, that's not an insult)
While the oil is running through the engine there's really know way to gauge just how much oil is running through everything so the only way to know is to let the car cool and check your dipstick.

****... that's not good... I might be going on a long trip (1800-1900 miles) and I dont want to be stopping every 1000 to check oil...

****... that's not good... I might be going on a long trip (1800-1900 miles) and I dont want to be stopping every 1000 to check oil...

you wouldnt get an accurate reading until all the oil drained out of the head anyway
