Quote from a shop, is this a good deal? Options

So I have been talking to an owner of a shop located near Portland, Oregon for the past few months or so. He called me up again the other day and said he can do my swap to a 3rd gen 3SGTE for 6000 dollars. What he is going to do is convert the AWD tranny to 2WD. I guess what I am asking is "is this a good deal" From the research I have done it seems to me like it is. I have looked at many 2nd gen 3SGTE discussion boards and it looks like those swaps basically cost around 5000. With the 3rd Generation I get a better motor with more HP and a water and air cooled turbo which the 2nd gen doesn't offer. So maybe you guys can help with a little feedback. I would love to do this swap myself but I think it would be way over my head. What do you guys think?

P.S. The shop that wants to do my swap specializes in MR2's. Basically the owner and co owner know everything there is to know about the 3SGTE.

and that includes all the parts right? then i would say that's a decent deal.
why convert the tranny? that sounds like a lot more work than it's worth. why not just get an mr2t tranny in there? most likely an easier and more reliable conversion.
they did offer a water to air intercooler on the second gen 3sgte. it came with the st185 rc. that's what defgeph has in his car. personally i am going to go the cheaper route and just turbo the motor that i already have and do it myself. that way i will have the know how and learning experience. that way if it breaks i will know how to fix it. also parts are cheaper and easier to find for the 5s than the 3s here in the states. and if i plan on selling the celi i could always convert it back to n/a and sell the turbo set up.
