I just installed a fresh XP Pro setup on my laptop, which previously used Vista. The problem is my sound!
There is an unkown device that will not go away! I have tried using the system recovery CD but that wont work, I tried looking for things online, but there is no help! When I go to the properties of this unknown device, details, this is what it shows as the "Device Instance Id": HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_1057&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_10573055&REV_1007\4&34D84B4E&1&0001 I know this device is from Motorola, whos vendor ID is 1057, but I have no idea how to fix it! -------------------- |

hmmm this is a strange situtation, you might be out of luck here. The manufacture might not even make drivers for windows XP.
Your highest chance to get the driver is to go to the manufacuture website ( your laptop's manufacture aka ACER IBM TOSHIBA) and download the sound drivers from there. you can also try a older model of your laptop that share the same sound driver. good luck. |
