I just installed a fresh XP Pro setup on my laptop, which previously used Vista. The problem is my sound!
There is an unkown device that will not go away! I have tried using the system recovery CD but that wont work, I tried looking for things online, but there is no help! When I go to the properties of this unknown device, details, this is what it shows as the "Device Instance Id": HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_1057&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_10573055&REV_1007\4&34D84B4E&1&0001 I know this device is from Motorola, whos vendor ID is 1057, but I have no idea how to fix it! -------------------- |

Ok, so this is what I did to fix it.
Now up until this point, I have been very dissatisfied with Alienware's Tech support I called them up and this guy, Andrew, connected remotely to my computer and 10-15 minutes later, wala! it was fixed. I don't know how or what he did, but he found some drivers on their website that I guess I passed over. Thanks for your help anyways guys! -------------------- |
