I just installed a fresh XP Pro setup on my laptop, which previously used Vista. The problem is my sound!
There is an unkown device that will not go away! I have tried using the system recovery CD but that wont work, I tried looking for things online, but there is no help! When I go to the properties of this unknown device, details, this is what it shows as the "Device Instance Id": HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_1057&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_10573055&REV_1007\4&34D84B4E&1&0001 I know this device is from Motorola, whos vendor ID is 1057, but I have no idea how to fix it! -------------------- |

i think you should uninstall that xp you have there and load up some kde4
especially if you have some alienware, dual boot windows and kde/gnome that way you can still play games without educating yourself. but if your the type of person that gets alienware, you'll love kde & compiz. plus im sure your laptop has enough juice to run wine and then you dont have a need for windows (all that free hard drive space for extra game/dvd backups!!) look into it. i know im never going back. |
