This is so petty but it BUGS me to no end. In my map light I have size 57 bulbs. They're icky dingy yellow and fairly useless. I've been hunting for a replacement for the bulbs I have, but can't find anything other than standard filament bulbs. In my search though I've discovered that the "correct" size is 293. WTF IS A 293 BULB!?! No one carries it. NO ONE. (not parts stores, at least)
Have any of you run into this, and how have you solved it? It seems RIDICULOUS to have to go to Totota to buy these small ass light bulbs. -------------------- ![]() |

Yeah - That's the one I thought it was. Pep boys has various LED replacements to bulbs like that. All you need to do is get a rough idea what diameter bulb will fit in there, grab one out of the car and take it inside. There are several bulbs with that size connector but all in various diameter bulbs. Just get the biggest one that fits. They will all be 12v - I've never had one pop before due to amperage or whatever. I'd just keep an eye on it for the first few uses.
BTW - Blue ones will give off a good amount of light if you can't find white. Red will look cool but be practically useless. Hope this helps.
