I just installed a fresh XP Pro setup on my laptop, which previously used Vista. The problem is my sound!
There is an unkown device that will not go away! I have tried using the system recovery CD but that wont work, I tried looking for things online, but there is no help! When I go to the properties of this unknown device, details, this is what it shows as the "Device Instance Id": HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_1057&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_10573055&REV_1007\4&34D84B4E&1&0001 I know this device is from Motorola, whos vendor ID is 1057, but I have no idea how to fix it! -------------------- |

QUOTE(lagos @ Jan 30, 2008 - 2:58 AM) somehow i have a feeling that if installing a windows driver is too difficult, then linux is probably not the right OS for him. Exactly what I;m thinking -------------------- ![]() |
