QUOTE(ashes1850 @ Jan 26, 2008 - 7:45 PM) I cannot root for a team that plays in nj, but calls themselves the ny giants.... WTF kind of reasoning is that? Who cares if it says New York or New Jersey? You can't root for a team that has York instead of Jersey? Why can you root for the Patriots who have New England instead of Foxborough? Same logic. Giants are the same team regardless, New York just sounds better and it was pointless to switch names when all they did was move across the river. The Dallas Cowboys play in Irving, Texas but you don't see them changing their name to the Irving Cowboys. The Washington Redskins play in Maryland...not a real big deal people. Teams are businesses and it's marketing. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Jan 30, 2008 - 8:51 AM -------------------- |

Because the new england patriots are playing for the area, which is new england. And what? The "New York" Giants are representing New York? Um, We already have a new york team which would be Buffalo. It just bothers me that they take New Yorks name...It's my opinion and you have yours...we are all entitled. This post has been edited by ashes1850: Jan 31, 2008 - 10:14 PM |
