Is it just something wrong wit my car or is all st's have bad traction... even with 110hp my car spins and jumps from a take off pretty badly. My clutch is stock and is still very good, i got stock tires/rims but even so it just doesnt seem to have good traction so once its turboed i dun even wana think about all the spinning it will have from take off.

yea the OEM clutch isn't really the problem...
it has a lot to do with the suspension, the tires, and the fact that these cars make a very good amout of torque down low in spite of the low hp. if you can easily spin the tires, you need better tires. -------------------- |

QUOTE(Batman722 @ Jan 29, 2008 - 1:12 AM) yea the OEM clutch isn't really the problem... it has a lot to do with the suspension, the tires, and the fact that these cars make a very good amout of torque down low in spite of the low hp. if you can easily spin the tires, you need better tires. i have new tires, and i still does it. Now before you think i just cant drive standard, ive been driving them all my driving life, in many different cars. The stock clutch sucks on these cars, but then again the guy that i bought mine from said he had just replaced it so im also thinking that he bought a crapy off brand clutch to save money. the car had a lot of cheap fixs on it when i got it. im really not trying to make myself look like a bad @$$ but ive been driving standard for sometime now and ive never had this problem. But the solution is simple. Stage 2 clutch ![]() |
