a 7afte setup has been taken to 25psi for about a week of driving. then the turbo kit was removed and sold. the car is used as a daily driver while a supra TT sits in the guys garage. and that same engine at one point blew the oil return line and pumped all its oil out while driving. if you have the proper fuel setup, a fmic, and proper cooling. you can run 10psi with no sweat, maybe even 15psi sacrificing some engine life. thats with an ST, a GT would be similar but the ST's lower compression makes boost a little less stressful on the engine. corolla guys love the 7afe engine, they turbo them or add nitrous and run 14's all the time. it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' my maximum boost book says that turbo charging a car will result in 90% of the engine's original life expectancy. so long as it doesnt run hot or have detonation(wont if you know what you are doing) ANY engine can be turbo charged and last quite a long time. i figure by time my engine feels the pain of the turbo, i will have a second car by then so i wont have to take it to a shop to have the engine repaired. i could take a week or so and do it myself, maybe with 4agze internals. ![]() or if im lucky, i will find the breaking point on my engine while its still under toyota warranty. put the car back to stock, and have toyota rebuild it for free. but atleast the engine was rebuilt right before i bought it. it now has about 13k miles on the rebuild and those are all from me. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
