I was wanting to put a turbo kit in my 7afe engine with an automatic trans. Will the trans be able to handle the turbo? Is a supercharger a better way to go? I know I can only push so much on this engine and I was aiming for 175 HP when im done. Any suggestions? I have about 1500 for engine mods.

twin charging? too much money for one wallet too much headache for one head why would you want to twin charge any car that is not a 100% drag car? realistically, there isnt even enough room in the celica engine bay to install a turbo that would have soo much lag that a supercharge would be needed to get it going. hell, neither a 7afe nor a 5sfe would make good use of anything bigger than a t3/t04 hybrid and that would still spool pretty quick. lag is not as big of a problem as people think it is. my turbo setup currently is running the stock ST exhaust and my turbo hits full boost at a little under 3k rpm in first and since i have an auto, after that it never drops till i decide to slow down or stop accelerating. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
