I agree with Manny 100%. there is a massive difference between the two. the 7th gen shifter is very notchy, but some people like it like that. I've never had a stock shifter for comparisson to that but when comparing the 7th gen and the TRD shifters the TRD wins in quality and smoothness hands down. although, that's why it's much more expensive. I installed my 7th gen ebay shortshifter today, and I have to say I definitely believe that the TRD ones are much smoother. I noticed that with the new SS, it's pretty much exactly like stock except definitely a way shorter throw. It's pretty stiff though, which is one of the things I liked, but then again I've never had anything shift smoother than stock haha. So basically I agree too, except it's not really harder than stock. ![]() |
