I'm getting ready to rebuild my 7AFE motor so that it will be back to brand new basically rather than just replacing one thing that's wrong with it. I found this rebuild kit on eBay for cheap and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything at all about this company or what the deal is. It almost seems too good to be true. The link will be at the bottom of this post. I'm also wondering if boosting the rebuilt 7AFE motor will be safe or not. I'm going to be using it as a daily driver and don't wanna boost the hell out of it and blow it, but I'm wanting it to be a little quicker. A motor swap and tranny swap are not in the question, I'm just wondering if boosting this motor is worth it or not and if the rebuild kit isn't worth it. Thanks!

What kind of rebuild you doing? That kit doesn't include water pump, tensioner or valve stem seals. Also the bearing sizes depends on the machine stamped codes from your engine.
www.1sttoyotaparts.com usually has very good prices on that kind of stuff. BUT wait, they are in Washington. So if you want it quicker than 5-8days put all the stuff you need in the e-cart, and print the page listing the prices and take it to your local toyota dealership and ask them to match it. I've done both, and we're roughly ABOUT the same distance from washington. Some packages took 2 days, others 10 - it just depends i guess. GL |
