Ok so this has kept me up nights...
So in the first Terminator movie, Kyle Reese comes back from the future, sent by John Connor to protect his mother's life. So Reese sleeps with Sarah Connor and she has a child, John Connor. So how does someone exist prior to sending his father back in time to knock up his mother? -------------------- |

Maybe the original John Conor had a different father to begin with, and Reese changed the future by banging Sarah. You have to remember that the first time around, the terminator didnt come for Sarah. She probably ended up staying at her job, and getting married or something.
