I'm going to repeat what everyone else is saying, cause it's the truth. Do what you think would look good. There's always going to be people that will like, and don't like your car. So the important thing is if you can step back, look at your car and smile and nod your head in approval. On my second car (a crx), this is what I did to the hood; mainly just for the experience of painting custom designs on my own, but I thought it came out pretty well (crappy pic, and it's not washed. Trust me, it did look better than that)
