i did my back brakes and now im doing the front.. im just trying to get rid of the screw so i can slide the caliper up and replace the brakes for now but the screw islike different for both sides which way to i unscrew on the passenger side? do i pull up or do i push down to unscrew it? same for the driver side.
[/size] i went both ways on the passenger side i pulled up and i even broke the ratchet thing, so i started pushing down on it but its not budging... and i dont want to go full strength and break some more.. just wondering, did you break the ratchet? or the socket.. more likely the rotating end of the ratchet is what will shear right off from over-torquing. anyway, i hope you have a good branded ratchet that has lifetime warranty. and i hope you're not using a small 1/2" ratchet, you should be using at least a 3/4".
