Ok...where to start...I keep blowing my Gauge fuse whenever I put the key in and it's happend before and all i did was replace the battery and it worked. I replaced the battery and alternator and still blowing the fuse. A piece of paper with wiring diagrams came with the alternator and it said it was the ignition. Should I get a new ignition system (coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires)? Please help me on this

First off, ignore that piece of paper if it's telling you the gauge fuse supplies power to the ignition, it doesn't.
Unfortunately it does supply power to a BUNCH of things on the car, including the instrument cluster, some ECUs, seatbelt stuff, the list goes on and on... Do you have any experience with electrical stuff? You're going to have to trouble shoot a short to ground. Does it do it as soon as the key is in the ignition? When you turn it to ACC? When you turn it to ON? -------------------- ![]() |
