ok so i won this vis invader hood off ebay for $200.
it was in amazing shape
to say the least i was pretty pumped up and excited since this hood normaly goes for 700 brand new

so i get the tracking number for it and i looked at it from day to day.
expected delivery was today, march 1st, and i couldn't wait to get it and put it on my car!

4:00pm passes and i literally watch the Fedex truck pass my house. I just stood there for a second and was like, ok? wtf!?
so i check the tracking number again only to see this!

Delivery exception
BALTIMORE, MD
Damaged, handling per shipper instructions

you gotta be joking! the hood came all the way from new hampshire, and right when it gets on the truck to be delivered to me in my own state, then it gets broken!

i've already have had bad experiences with Fedex, they don't seem to take care of fragile items as if they are really FRAGILE.
UPS all the way

i don't even know if the guy insured the hood when it was shipped, he didn't even offer insurance in the auction...

even if i get my 200 bucks back, it still isnt worth as much as the hood was to me, kindasad.gif

i trust UPS, but bc i have an account there and things are cheaper for me biggrin.gif

but really, all company's have there good and bad employees. my "at work" ups man slings crap around like he's playing dodge ball or something...

But my at "home" ups guy is really freaking cool. He's always taken care of my stuff. then again, he always hangs out for 10-15 min and has a few beverages with me... So does my pizza guy. i must be the best tipper in town. lol.

Plus i've seen a few fedex trucks parked in ditches and on top of other cars... Once on the news, i seen one sideways on the freeway, so i figure if they cant drive, how they going to make it to my house?

IDK, alot of people LOVE fedex with a passion, so who's to say who's better, just know your local reps, and (seeing as they are breaking your stuff same day) obviously your local "ups/fedex/whoever" guy is an idiot, dont use him. tongue.gif

Tough break though, I'd go find a manager and complain untill something is done about it. Or untill the police come. You've done nothing wrong to request reimbursement for your property. you never signed a document saying that you trust your item with that company. biggrin.gif so unless your cussing and screaming (disorderly) the police can't make you leave. tongue.gif

i'm not endorsing to disobey the law, i'm just saying that what is yours, is YOURS; and you should try to get reimbursed for it, rather you had insurance or not. be reasonable, and im sure a manager will be as well.
