hey guys...i was wondering under the hood of my celi theres this cloth im guessing like a heatsheild of somesort. but its detiriorating and shooting the particels thru my vents.. is that needed or can i rip it off

Late model GTs don't come with them stock. Evidently someone at Toyota decided they were not necessary at some point in the production.
x2 on that not being what is coming thru your vents. The stuff coming thru your vents is the little seal around the joints and shut offs in your vents.
