To be honest 200.00 will get you a descent primer gun ... A all around good starter gun that is good for both base and clear are the devilbiss plus, devilbiss CVI(my favorite ), and the SATA RP.....
now I use a seperate gun for everything my line up is a SATA jet 90 for primer , a SATA RP digital for sealer a SATA NR2000 for Base(HVLP) and its awsome for metalics and pearls, and a DEVILBISS CVI for my clear, all with a 1.3 cap.... ALL Of those guns except the SATA NR2000 operate nicely at 40-45psi and the SATA NR2000 between 10PSI and 20 PSI The SATA's run between 500-700 and the devilbiss run between 4-500. Sometimes by looking at a pawn shop you can find them USED but just make sure the tips arent scared in any way and the fluid needles arent bent. I picked up my JET 90 that I use for primer for 30.00 |
