 Grinding feel right before you stop? |

Ok the brakes on my friends 98 celica gt are weird... before we replaced the pads, there was a nasty grinding sensation, even after they got new pads on there, the nasty grinding thing is still there... the rotors are new and good shape... a friend of mine looked at the calipers and said the master cylinder may be going out... what you guys think?

when they had the brakes apart... the clips inside... well one of the clips was missing and the otherside didnt have clips... could that have anything to do with it?
