amp problem

95GTspeed View Member Profile Enthusiast Joined Aug 13, '03 From Chicago, IL Currently Offline Reputation: 0 (0%)	hey im tryin to install an amp but i have a problem. everythin seems to be set up right but when i plug the 4 input plugs into the amp, there is no sound. there is only sound when the plugs are in only a litte bit. i tihnk its the ground connection but i really dont know,

Guest_Matthew_* Guest_Matthew_* View Member Profile	you have a short on the amp or speaker the positive is hooked up the negative or visa versa. by connecting the sound to it fully its grounding itself out. if you barely do it then its not connecting enough to ground out thats why its working partly plugged in run new wire to all the speakers from the amp. use atleast 14 guage i have 12 guage wire to the interior speakers and 8 guage to the subs
