Title says it all, anyone know the weight difference between a stock hood and a cf hood?
If not, how about any other oem part vs. it's cf counter-part? -------------------- |

x2 for celicaST, except i'm not calling anyone names... lol. ANYone with 5 squares has no right calling anyone a post whore
![]() ![]() But those measurments sound about right, i've repaired many body peices, and carbon fiber is usualy layed on a sheet of fiberglass or less, MOST are hollow; and will run about 15-25 lbs (im guessing) and full set, i would IMAGINE (never had my hands on that) would be like 35-40 bc it's solid... and for all the aftermarket inclusions included in ANY A.M. hood, that's alot of Resin... OEM aluminum, i'd guess arround 50-55lbs? they're pretty heavy, i'd actualy figure the actual figure to be more... but... just a guess... from someone who's had his hands on a few... And does CF wraps and fiberglass work... Just my .02 cents, does anyone have an official number? I dont exacly weigh my work when its done, lol. ![]() -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive.
