I'm thinking about getting a powder coating gun to work on my own little car paint projects. Reason being is people charge too much to powder coat brake calipers and for that, i might as well buy my own gun and work on my stuff and maybe even make a little cash on the side working on stuff for my friends.
Anyway, I know they sell ovens specifically for powder coating, but would it be okay to use my kitchen oven to cure the parts? Sounds like it would work but I don't want my family to die from powder paint poisoning or something. Thoughts? -------------------- ![]() |

what do you guys think about using a toaster oven? lol. im looking at a few and they heat up for more than 450 degrees which is good cuz i only need it to go up to 400.
just checking my options cuz craigslist was no good and i dont use newspapers. i hate touching them. the oven should be big enough to paint the calipers. This post has been edited by JoKeRkId613: Mar 12, 2008 - 5:18 PM -------------------- ![]() |
