Would swaping in a ST215 3SGTE be any harder than Swapping in one from an ST205? If so do both engines have the same potential. I'd like to be making 300 to 400HP from it after all is said and done.

The blocks are basically identical.. the top ends are where the differences are between the engine gens. The 215 as far as I know has different motor mounts but is still a "s" series engine so maybe it would work - havent really looked into it. The 185 is the best option unless you have alot of cash to modify the 205. The 185 stock internals will hold around 400hp no prob, any higher though and you will have to bump up the internals. as for the same years... it really doesnt make that much difference - if it's JDM you will still have to lengthen the harness 185 or 205. the mounts are pretty much all the same between 165,185,205
