trying to turn it on and all it does is flash and than shut off, did the fuse get burnt or something or is there something i am not doing right.

i tried to install a new head unit but it doesn't power on, so i plug in the factory and it doesn't turn on either. any info would be helpful thanks

ok, what i do is this. Open the hood, i connect the yellow and red wire to the positve pole, and ground to negative of the aftermarket.

get a speaker. And try each channel individually, this will help you test your aftermarket. I know this is getho style but it bypasse all wiring and fuses. Unles you have a bench supply with 12 volts of course...

if your radio still not working this way, then its possibly dead...

ok so i want to skip the amp. is there another harness i can buy or do i just hotwire them? might as well ask before trying anything else

edit Found my pic: The little thing im touching, is part of the main harness. The plugs that it ends with, conects with the harness that exits the amps. These plugs are standard in all toyotas from specific years. So all you need is to look up in ebay this.(below)

Instead of hotwire, buy a harness that is plug, and play. It will save you headaches..
